Emily and Alex’s summer wedding had all the ingredients for a perfect Scottish day: a village hall venue nestled in beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside, oodles of rustic DIY details, specially brewed beer, food and dancing aplenty. And magnificent confetti throwing. In the rain. Of course.
No matter how careful your wedding day planning has been, the one thing you can’t ever control is the weather. I totally believe in embracing whatever Mother Nature throws at you on the big day and thankfully Emily and Alex shared my outlook, cheerfully agreeing to a slightly soggy wander in the woods for some wedding portraits. Happily the drizzle brought back lovely memories of dog walking in the Scottish countryside for these two. Every cloud has a silver lining (which is a very good thing if you happen to live in Scotland!).
