I have been dying to share this wedding for a long time now. 5 months to be precise. There’s just one downside to having a super busy summer filled with weddings and that’s not having the time to shout about all the amazing days you’ve been part of. With only three more weddings to photograph this year I plan to start to giving my blog a serious work-out in the coming weeks.
Emma and Tom chose to get married in the wonderful surroundings of Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s House for an Art Lover. A truly iconic Glasgow building which oozes style and character. Emma and her creative family pooled their talents to adorn the venue with incredible homemade cakes, macarons (which tasted every bit as good as they looked!), beautiful table decorations and an elegant seating plan. Unless I imagined it, I’m pretty sure that Emma’s mum and auntie also took care of the wedding day florals which is no mean feat!
One of the greatest pleasures in my job is getting to meet so many wonderful people and share one of the most exciting days of their lives. Emma and Tom are simply a joy to be around and I was delighted to be able to spend time with them again last weekend when I got to photograph their lovely bridesmaid Avril’s wedding to John. Any more excuses to hang out with them would go down a treat 😉
Huge thanks to the lovely Fiona Higgins for fantastic second shooting on the day.
