I first met with Lorna and Dave back in January to chat to them about their wedding plans and for me it was love at first sight. You sometimes just get a great feeling when you meet couples, it’s hard to put your figure on precisely what it is, but I absolutely knew that their day was one I was going to love being part of.
They got married at the National Piping Centre in Glasgow. Having everything under one roof meant that I could nip in and out getting a few shots of Lorna getting ready, then Dave, then the bridesmaids, then back to Lorna. I expended a fair few calories running up and down the stairs (but wait until you see how I made up for it later with some fine Scottish fare!).
As well as running, I did an awful lot of laughing at Lorna and Dave’s wedding. The whole day was as joyous as I suspected it would be, and I particularly loved the couple portraits. Some wedding venues are blessed with amazing gardens, outbuildings or water features to make use of. At the Piping Centre you’ve essentially got a little cobbled street but these shots prove you don’t need anything more than that (or for the sun to be shining) when you have such a fantastic couple to photograph.
Heartfelt thanks to Lorna and Dave for giving me the chance to be part of your wedding day. If you ever fancy skipping off for some more shots on your own, you know where I am…
