Every wedding is special to me. But sometimes there’s special and then there’s really special. Marion and Darren’s wedding definitely falls into that category.
I could hear laughter before I even walked into Marion’s mum and dad’s house. I was greeted by a huge selection of delicious Danish pastries and encouraged to eat as many as possible (I only managed one!), and then there was the bride herself.
Marion is one of those people whose kindness, warmth and love of life is totally infectious. She’s the kind of person you’d want to hang around with on an otherwise miserable Monday morning, never mind on one of the most exciting days of her life. The look on her dad’s face when he saw her in her dress is one that’ll stay with me for a long time.
I have yet to mention the fact that this super special wedding took place on New Year’s Eve. It seemed entirely appropriate that Marion and Darren should begin a new chapter of their life with the dawning of a new year. If their wedding was anything to go by I’d say they can look forward to a pretty special future together.
