When it comes to photography my two main loves are shooting weddings and children. Photographing Paula and David’s big day gave me the chance to combine both with the opportunity to take pictures of a fantastic couple in an amazing setting, and their three beautiful boys.
The wedding took place at Culcreuch Castle in Fintry. It’s been home to the Scottish Galbraith Clan for over 700 years and is positively dripping in history. I reckon if you were transported there blindfolded you’d know as soon as you could see that the only place you could possibly be was in Scotland. Needless to say the castle and its grounds make for a pretty special location for a wedding. Thankfully old Mother Nature was on our side and despite a few showers we were able to get out and enjoy the early spring sunshine.
Readers of wedding photography blogs will no doubt see the words ‘beautiful’ and ’emotional’ quite a lot, but I can’t really think of a better way of describing Paula and David’s day. I was just happy to be part of it.
